The WPSA has asked the Comparative Politics Section to sponsor a mini-conference at the 2015 Annual meeting and to recruit an organizer. The mini-conference should consist of three to five panels that focus on a single theme (for instance, the recent failure of democratic consolidation in the Middle East, the political economy of redistribution, and so forth).
If you are interested in participating, please send Duane Swank a statement of intent, a title for the mini-conference, and brief discussion of the number and focus of panels. (A full slate of participants does not have to be listed at this stage.) Given that WPSA needs to hear from us relatively soon, proposals should be submitted by September 24. Proposals will be evaluated by the Executive Council of the Comparative Politics Section; the selected proposal will then be submitted to the WPSA Program Chair.
